We are all searching for our “place” in the universe. Just as Buddha taught we are ll the blind men touching an elephant –
everyone’s experience is valid and unique. God, the Universe, and the Christ Consciousness are all truth. Sadly, many of us see
our own perceptions as the complete truth and we do not even pause to consider that the part of the elephant that we are touching is just that, only part of the bigger issue. In my heart I desire to know the truth. As we seek the truth, the truth sets us free and we are free indeed. I know that what I paint is for people to see in a way they have not seen before.
I have often been asked how or why I paint what I paint. That is hard to put into words. To put it as succinctly as I can, I “see” it before I paint it. Sometimes the vision comes in part and sometimes in its entirety.
Throughout the ages there have been people who have cried the cry of a spiritual awakening. These individuals have sometimes been called teachers, shaman, holy men, prophets, oracles, and enlightened or sentient beings. The path that I have walked brought me to one such oracle. Much credit and gratitude is due to this spiritual mentor who has guided me, taught me, nurtured me, breathed life into me and showed me the passageway to Shambhala, the corridor to infinity. The artwork that you see tells the story of this journey. My heart’s desire is that what you look upon may be a catalyst for your own personal activation – that you will be awakened to who you truly are and that your life will be changed simply by looking upon the canvas. The Divine is in us. We merely have to recognize it and cultivate that presence in our being. I invite you to allow the presence of the Divine love depicted in these images to reflect the Divine in you. Thank you, Namaste, Barry Donaldson Firescribe. |
